The Government of Argentina thanks all the more than 3800 participants of the IV Global Conference on the Sustained Eradication of Child Labour. We express our gratitude to the International Labour Organization for all the support and assistance provided in the context of the preparation and the course of this event, in which consensus and sustainable solutions have been discussed to eradicate Child Labour and Forced Labour worldwide and to generate decent jobs for all, especially young people.

We are proud of the presence of tripartite delegations from more than 100 countries, including the participation of 45 ministers of state. We are also grateful for the assistance of national, provincial and municipal authorities of Argentina and of International Organizations, as well as important Civil Society Organizations, the specialized press, academia and youth.

The respectful and fruitful discussions that took place in the context of the Conference today have as a corollary the Buenos Aires Declaration, an instrument that will guide, over the next four years, all efforts on the issues covered, and 91 commitments of different States to make firm progress towards Target 8.7 of the Sustainable Development Goals.

Our most distinguished congratulations to all the speakers, who illustrated all the attendees with their presentations, giving quality and relevance to the discussions of the thematic panels. We highlight the work of all those sponsors who nurtured with other voices and content the event by holding their Special Sessions.

Emphasizing the pride of having received you in our country and hoping to meet again soon, we send our best regards.
